Senior Activities are held at the Percy Bakker Community Center, 9333 'E' Avenue (map below).
Fitness and Fun Exercise Program

A workout for men and women to stay fit and increase strength and endurance while relieving stress in a friendly, social atmosphere. The class includes low-impact exercises, line dances, latin moves, waltzes, step, strength training, and flexibility with equipment provided, all performed to each person’s individual ability level. Music includes Big Band to Ballroom, Latin to Country, Belafonte to Beyonce.
Instructor is National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified; CPR and First Aid Certified.

FEE: $21.00 per month or $3 per class

Pinochle
Every Wednesday seniors are invited to enjoy the fun of Pinochle.

Seniors With Inquiring Minds (S.W.I.M.)
Seniors With Inquiring Minds (S.W.I.M.) is a Learning in Retirement movement that now meets a the Percy Bakker Community Center, on Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. S.W.I.M. was formed in 1993 by seniors who wanted to keep their minds active and alert. We stand out in the movement because we don't depend on classes at the local college. S.W.I.M. creates its own programs or invites interesting speakers from the community.

Quilt Guild
Desert Winds Quilt Guild meets the first Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. Come and learn how to make a quilt or teach others. Each meeting has lessons, a raffle, food, fun, and fellowship for all!
Garden Club
The Hesperia Garden Club is devoted to the development of all phases of gardening of fruits, vegetables, trees, and flowers. We are involved in the betterment and beautification of the community and the exchange of information and ideas with fellow gardeners. The Hesperia Garden Club has many activities scheduled throughout the year such as the Home and Garden Show, field trips, and presentations at our club meetings. Please join us for a meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except July/August) at 1:00 p.m.
Weekday Lunch
Barstow Senior Meals serves lunches for a voluntary donation of $3.00 for 60 years of age and over and a voluntary donation of $7.50 for 59 years of age and under. Meals are served Monday through Friday at 11:15 a.m. excluding the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving (including the following Friday), Christmas, and New Year's Day.
