Seniors with Inquiring Minds (S.W.I.M.)

Seniors With Inquiring Minds (S.W.I.M.) is a Learning in Retirement movement that now meets at the Percy Bakker Community Center on Thursdays at 1 p.m. S.W.I.M. was formed in 1993 by seniors who wanted to keep their minds active and alert. We stand out in the movement because we don’t depend on classes at the local college. S.W.I.M. creates its own programs or invites interesting speakers from the community.

Quilt Guild

Desert Winds Quilt Guild meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. Come and learn how to make a quilt or teach others. Each meeting has lessons, a raffle, food, fun, and fellowship for all!

Garden Club

The Hesperia Garden Club is devoted to the development of all phases of gardening of fruits, vegetables, trees, and flowers. We are involved in the betterment and beautification of the community and the exchange of information and ideas with fellow gardeners. The Hesperia Garden Club has many activities scheduled throughout the year such as the Home and Garden Show, field trips, and presentations at our club meetings. Please join us for a meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except July/August) at 1:00 p.m.
