The store at Hesperia Lake Park is open every day of the year except Christmas Day to serve the needs of anglers, campers, and picnickers. Anyone wishing to fish or camp must first register at the Lake Store. The store is well stocked with an ample supply of bait and tackle, as well as a variety of camping supplies, drinks, and snacks. Store hours vary throughout the seasons.

There is no entry fee to the park itself.

The Campground is OPEN!  We have taken the necessary precautions and appreciate your understanding and cooperation with the limitations needed to keep our facility open at this time.

  • As of October 1st, the Campground is open at 100% capacity, excluding group sites.
  • Phone reservations are accepted Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., by calling 760-244-5951.  Reservations may be made over the phone, however, all fees must be paid in person at the Hesperia Lake Store.
  • Walk-ins are on a first-come-first-serve basis, depending upon available space. 
  • Check-in is from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., seven days a week (except Christmas Day), at Hesperia Lake Store.  (No after-hours check-in.)
  • Registration is done in-store only with valid ID and payment.
  • Check-out by 12:00 p.m.

Looking for an escape? Hesperia Lake is open for camping throughout the year. Open spaces and cool clear air make a perfect setting for spending quality time with the family. A variety of sites are available at Hesperia Lake to accommodate RV’s and tent campers. All sites have a picnic table and a fire ring. RV sites will accommodate a vehicle up to 40 feet in length. Electricity and water are available in selected sites and restrooms and showers are available at no extra charge. Potable water is located throughout the campground. 


Standard Overnight Rate:  $28.00 per night
Limit 4 people/2 vehicles per site

Additional People:  $2 per person, per night
Limit 2 additional people per site

Pets:  $2 per night
Limit 2 pets per site

Discount Rate:  $22.00 per site, per night
(Discounted Rate is for District Residents, Active Military, Veterans, and standalone Nonprofit Organizations benefitting residents of the District.

Group Tent Area:  $50 per night

Limit 25 people/5 vehicles

Hesperia Lake Camping Rules

Active Duty Military and Veterans

Hesperia Recreation and Park District wants to say THANK YOU for your time and service!  All active-duty military and veterans receive the following special:
Fishing - $15.00 per session with military I.D.


The first trout stock of the Fall 2020 season is scheduled for Thursday, November 19th.

No state fishing license is required. Hesperia Lake is a pay-to-fish lake. Adults pay $18.00 per session and have a five (5) fish limit. Seniors who are residents of Hesperia can fish for only $15.00 and still catch five (5) fish. Children 10 years and younger are $6.00 with paid adult and have a two (2) fish limit.  Patrons must present identification.

Night Fishing

Night Fishing has ended for the 2020 season.  


Senior Fishing

Seniors who live within Hesperia Recreation and Park District boundaries can fish for only $15.00 with a five (5) fish limit.




Hesperia Lake Park is a great place to host your next outdoor party, meeting, or celebration! Hesperia Lake Park is open all year. Individual picnic tables are available throughout the park. Patrons may bring their own propane barbecues. Group sites are available for a reasonable fee and reservations must be made in advance.  We ask that groups of 25 or more people have reservations.  

All reservations must be made in person at the Lime Street District Office, 16292 Lime Street, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Picnic Area 1 (12 tables) - 100 people
  • Picnic Area 2 (12 tables) - 100 people
  • Picnic Area 3 (6 tables) - 50 people

Hesperia Lake Equestrian Camp

Hesperia Lake Equestrian Camp is available on a first-come-first-served basis. The fees for using the Equestrian Camp are as follows:

Day Use – FREE – includes one rig (truck and trailer) and one corral.
Overnight Camping Sites – $20.00 per night. Check-in time is 12:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. the following day. Camping fee includes one rig (truck and trailer) and the use of two corrals.
