HESPERIA RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT BOARD CENSURES DIRECTOR KELLY GREGG

HESPERIA, CA โ€” At a duly noticed meeting held on December 11, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Hesperia Recreation and Park District unanimously adopted Resolution No. 25-12-01, censuring Director Kelly Gregg.

The resolution was agendized and considered pursuant to District Board Policy, including Board Policy 8.0 (Board Member Misconduct), Board Policy 4.03 (Board Powers and Duties), and Board Policy 4.09 (Board Member Communication), and for conduct determined by the Board to be detrimental to the District.

Pursuant to the resolution, The Boardโ€™s censure action does not remove Director Gregg from his elected position or from his status as a member of the Board. Rather, the Board imposed specific remedial and administrative actions and is required to complete Board-approved training in ethics and governance, harassment and retaliation prevention, and appropriate communication and interactions with District staff.

The resolution further removes Director Gregg from all committees, officer positions, liaison roles, District-authorized travel, and attendance at conferences.

โ€œThe Board remains focused on serving the community and carrying out the Districtโ€™s mission, and todayโ€™s action allows the District to move forward in alignment with its policies and obligations,โ€ said Board President James Roberts, III.

The Board remains committed to fulfilling its statutory duties and to serving the community in a manner consistent with applicable law, District policy, and principles of public accountability.
