Following late December storms that impacted communities including Wrightwood, Lytle Creek, Phelan, and Hesperia, San Bernardino County has partnered with the Hesperia Recreation and Park District (HRPD) to establish a vital Local Assistance Center (LAC) at the James W. Roberts III Gymnasium, located within the Rick Novack Community Center.
The HRPD Board of Directors renamed the gymnasium in August 2024 in recognition of the dedicated service of Board President James W. Roberts III. The facility now serves as a central hub for recovery efforts, providing a space where affected residents and businesses can access information and resources from a range of county, state, and non-government organizations.
Representatives are available to answer questions related to disaster-related losses, damage resources, insurance guidance, employment assistance, and housing services. @readysbcounty
