Route 66 and Salute to our Military Day

The Military Vehicle Preservation Association is conducting a 91st Anniversary Convoy following Route 66 with as many as 80 Historic Military Vehicles (HMVs).

The Convoy will retrace the original 1926 Route 66 and launched from Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, 16 September, 2017 and arrive in Santa Monica, California some 29 days later, on Saturday, 14 October.

They will arrive at the San Bernardino County Fairground (the only fairgrounds on Route 66 in CA) for a welcoming program by the community and dignitaries of the High Desert on Friday, October 13th.

The convoy (History in Motion) is expected approx. 9:40 am at the fairgrounds. They will be staying for approximately 20 minutes.

The public is invited to safely view the vehicles, listen & dance to live music, enjoy food, art, vintage cars, and a lot more historical festivities from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the fairgrounds. We want to bring the community together to watch history in motion... a once in a lifetime event! Free for everyone that wants to attend.

*********The convoy will then be traveling down Hesperia Road and will pass Lime Street Park at around 10:20 a.m. We invite those who would like to view and support the convoy from HESPERIA to come down to the park and cheer them on!*********
(Times are approximate, so please arrive early and be patient on their arrival.)
