“Play is the highest form of research.” - Albert Einstein.

Join us at Lime Street Park on Thursday, May 5th to celebrate the installation of the brand new playground!  The Ribbon Cutting will take place at 5:00 p.m. at 16292 Lime Street, Hesperia.

Fully replaced, the new Lime Street Park Playground is extra-ordinary with new features such as the Inclusive Merry Go Round, and ADA access to the large play structure.  An adaptive swing is also installed on the exciting new swing set!

Our children deserve these spaces, as does the entire community since playgrounds only help to make brighter futures for all who enjoy them.

Play is not all fun and games; it has taught us all, and continues to teach.  Through play we learn to interact with others, and develop lifelong skills.  Playgrounds help children develop motor, cognitive, emotional, social, and communication skills naturally.

So come crawl up the new Centipede Climber, or steer the ship away from pirates, and look for sharks through the telescope!  Slide down the neck of a dragon (okay, it’s a twisty slide), then save a princess from a castle!

If you can’t make it to the Ribbon Cutting, the Hesperia Recreation and Park District invites you to stop by soon to give it a whirl!

General Manager, Nicolas Chavez, expresses, “District staff is exploring additional playground renovations District-wide.  These improvements will be budgeted for in the upcoming fiscal year.”  For more information and to view all of our parks and facilities, visit HesperiaParks.com.
