After School Activities Program (A.S.A.P.) 2023/2024
Dear Hesperia Community,
Regarding important change regarding the After School Activities Program (ASAP) operated by Hesperia Recreation and Park District (HRPD):
After careful consideration and evaluation of our organizational priorities and resources, we have made the difficult decision to terminate our operation of the ASAP program. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes after thorough deliberation and a reassessment of our commitments.
Hesperia Recreation and Park District will no longer be operating the ASAP program for the elementary school-age children of Hesperia Unified School District (HUSD). We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the families, students, and staff members who have been part of this program over the years. Your participation and support have made a positive impact on the lives of countless children in our community.
ASAP has served as a valuable resource for developing young minds, fostering creativity, and promoting positive social behavior. It has provided a supervised environment for games, arts and crafts, and academic interests, nurturing the holistic growth of our students. We are proud of the accomplishments achieved through the program and the collaborations we have built with HUSD.
Although Hesperia Recreation and Park District will no longer oversee ASAP, we encourage parents and guardians to explore alternative after-school programs and resources available within the community. We recognize the importance of providing safe and enriching environments for our children outside of school hours, and we remain committed to supporting initiatives that prioritize their well-being and development.
If you have any questions or require further information regarding ASAP, please feel free to contact us at asap@hesperiaparks.com. We will be happy to provide any assistance or clarification you may need.
Thank you for your understanding.
