February's featured style of dance is the ChaCha.  Join us March to learn the Cumbia!

Own the dance floor while having fun!  No partner is needed.  Learn our dynamic steps and techniques while gliding around the dance floor.  Types of dances include Ballroom, Swing, Salsa, Merengue, Hustle, Cha-Cha, Night Club Two-Step, Samba, Mambo, Cumbia, Rumba, Waltz, Foxtrot, Carolina Shag, Viennese Waltz, Tango, and Country Two-Step.  Do not miss out on this fun and exciting class!  Bring a friend or meet someone new.

Ballet and Tap Dance Classes have a new instructor.  Register early, spots will fill up fast.

Ballet

Students learn fun and easy Ballet and Tap dance steps and stretches to help build coordination and gross motor skills. The class environment will encourage peer interaction, self-esteem and practice listening skills.

Please wear proper dance shoes and ballet clothing.

Ballet Dance 1
AGE: 4 to 8 years
TIME: 4:00 - 4:30 p.m.
FEE: $20 per participant

Ballet Dance 2
AGE: 9 to 14 years
TIME: 4:45 - 5:45 p.m.
FEE: $25 per participant

Jazz Dance

May contain: apparel, clothing, footwear, shoe, human, and person

Our instructor teaches proper dance technique exposing students to various styles, developing a well-rounded dancer.  Class is based on traditional jazz movement, layered with ballet technique and includes proper warm-up, stretches, across-the-floor progressions (leaps, jazz walk, and pirouette), and combinations.

May contain: person, human, and stage

Beginning Jazz Dance
AGE: 6 to 10 years
DAY: Wednesdays
TIME: 4:40 - 5:30 p.m.

Intermediate Jazz Dance
AGE:  9 - 12
DAY:  Wednesdays
TIME:  3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Belly Dancing

May contain: leisure activities, dance pose, human, and person

Enjoy the combined techniques of Egyptian, African, Moroccan and Persian cultures in the gypsy style of Baladi. Learn rhythms, finger cymbals, dance posture, and basics of the dance. No costuming required! A great aerobic workout.

AGE: 13 years and older
DAY: Wednesday
TIME(S): Beginners – 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Intermediate – 8:15 to 9:15 p.m.
LENGTH: 4 weeks

Line Dancing

Do you find yourself tapping your toes and singing along to country music on the radio? Wish you could dance along too? Then come out to our Line Dancing class, offered through the Hesperia Recreation and Park District. Even beginners with two left feet can learn new dances every week. For more information please call (760) 244-5488. Monthly registration may be done at a class meeting, online, or at Lime Street Park Community Center at 16292 Lime Street. Walk-ins also welcome at each class!
