Wedding/Special Event Dance Lessons

(Set of 4 Lessons)

Learn to dance for your wedding, quinceanera, or other special events.  Choose from Waltz, Tango, Swing, Cha-Cha, or Salsa and receive custom choreography to a song of your choice; instructor can also help select a song.  Class size is limited to one couple or small group, such as a bridal party, for private, specialized instruction.

May contain: person, human, dance pose, leisure activities, clothing, apparel, robe, evening dress, gown, fashion, indoors, and interior design

*Parent and Me Ballet/Creative Movement

With the assistance of the child’s parent, students learn stretching, coordination and strength movement. Basic skills will be taught in Creative Movement, Ballet, Jazz and hip-hop styles using props to engage students.  This class makes exercise fun for the child while allowing their parent/guardian to assist them personally.

*Hip Hop Dance

This class teaches old and new styles of street dancing while combining turns, jumps, and social dance movements.  Learn choreography to age-appropriate music and how to keep time with the beat. Stretching, flexibility and strength exercises are taught at the beginning of the class.

A Night on the Town

This class is DARK in the months of December 2019 and January 2020.  No classes will be held.

Featured style of dance:  January 2020 - Rumba Part 1; February 2020 - Rumba Part 2.  See you there!

Own the dance floor while having fun!  No partner is needed.  Learn our dynamic steps and techniques while gliding around the dance floor.  Types of dances include Ballroom, Swing, Salsa, Merengue, Hustle, Cha-Cha, Night Club Two-Step, Samba, Mambo, Cumbia, Rumba, Waltz, Foxtrot, Carolina Shag, Viennese Waltz, Tango, and Country Two-Step.  Do not miss out on this fun and exciting class!  Bring a friend or meet someone new.

Please wear proper dance shoes and ballet clothing.

Jazz Dance

Our instructor teaches proper dance technique exposing students to various styles, developing a well-rounded dancer.  Class is based on traditional jazz movement, layered with ballet technique and includes proper warm-up, stretches, across-the-floor progressions (leaps, jazz walk, and pirouette), and combinations.

May contain: person, human, and stage

Belly Dancing

Enjoy the combined techniques of Egyptian, African, Moroccan and Persian cultures in the gypsy style of Baladi. Learn rhythms, finger cymbals, dance posture, and basics of the dance. No costuming required! A great aerobic workout.

Line Dancing

Do you find yourself tapping your toes and singing along to country music on the radio? Wish you could dance along too? Then come out to our Line Dancing class, offered through the Hesperia Recreation and Park District. Even beginners with two left feet can learn new dances every week. For more information please call (760) 244-5488. Monthly registration may be done at a class meeting, online, or at Lime Street Park Community Center at 16292 Lime Street. Walk-ins also welcome at each class!
