MOVIES IN THE PARK Call for sponsorship of this community wide, family event

This summer come watch a movie under the stars. Movies in the Park is a family event, children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be a concession stand open selling popcorn cotton candy and drinks. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets.

If weather is questionable, Movies in the Park may be cancelled. Call (760) 244-7518 Ext. 123, (1) one hour prior to the event time. A message will be posted if event is cancelled.

Alcohol prohibited at Movies in the Park activities.
Smoking will be allowed in designated areas.

HESPERIA DAYS

The 2010 Hesperia Days Celebration is just around the corner! Join us September 17, 18 and 19, 2010 for three days of fun and entertainment. Events this year will include the annual parade, vendor booths, games, Music Festival, entertainment, trail ride and fireworks! There is free admission to the events, although there are fees charged for some activities. Events are held at various locations in Hesperia.

2010 Hesperia Days 5K Run / Walk / Skate
Race is free to all! All participants who register for the race online only before Wednesday, September 8, 2010 will receive on the day of the race a free 5K T-shirt commemorating the event.

WHEN: Saturday, September 18
START / FINISH: Percy Bakker Community Center parking lot located at 9333 E Avenue across from Kmart shopping center.
COURSE: Is a flat and paved loop course that takes place on Main Street.
REGISTRATION / TIME: Preregistered participants should arrive no later than 7:00 a.m. to check in and receive a race wrist band. Participants on race day may register from 6:45 to 7:30 a.m. Race starts at 8:00 a.m. sharp. Only online registration and race day registration is available for this event.

Hesperia Days - Calling All Vendors and Band
	Hesperia Recreation and Park District is looking for businesses, vendors, clubs, organizations and nonprofit groups interested in having a booth at this year’s Hesperia Days on September 18th and 19th at Hesperia Lake Park. There will be food, beverage and promotion sale items, as well as a number of children's game booths. Saturday’s activities will end with a spectacular fireworks display. For more information or to sign your group up to operate a booth, please call the District Office at (760) 244-5488. If you have a band that is family friendly and is interested in playing at this year’s Hesperia Days, please submit your band’s tapes or CD for consideration. All tapes and CDs can be mailed to Hesperia Recreation and Park District, P.O. Box 401055, Hesperia, CA 92340-1055. Unfortunately, submissions cannot be returned.
