  • Week Days: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 7:45 to 9:45 p.m.
  • Weekends: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
  • Holidays: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Open Swim

Lime Street Pool has certified lifeguards to ensure safety. Enjoy a refreshing swim with peace of mind.

Pool Rules

Children under 48″ must be accompanied and supervised by an adult
NO horseplay
NO glass
NO toys
NO electronic devices
NO flotation devices
Food and drink only in the designated area
All children must take a swim test to enter the deep end
A swimsuit and fee are required to enter the gated pool area (for swimmers and non-swimmers alike)
District Code of Conduct and other rules apply

Men need shorts with a drawstring and liner, while women can wear a swimsuit or shorts that meet the exact requirements as men. Women should also wear a sports bra that is not white or see-through.

Must wear a swimsuit with a liner (a drawstring is not required but must have an elastic waist). Swim diapers are required for children who aren’t potty trained.
Any offensive swim attire to the general public will not be allowed.
We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen articles.

Swim Lessons

Registration

All ages 6 months and older
Variety of times and skill levels (see below)
Registration is offered online only and begins on May 1, 2024.
Classes may be canceled unless more than four participants are registered. Successful skill performance is required for a certificate of completion. Parents/guardians are responsible for registering children for appropriate classes.

Class size 8 max.

Provides experiences and activities for children to:

  1. Establish expectations for adult supervision.
  2. Learn how to enter and exit the water in a safe manner.
  3. Explore submerge to the mouth, nose, and eyes.
  4. Explore buoyancy on front and back positions.
  5. Glide on the front and back with assistance.
  6. Perform combined stroke on front and back with assistance.
  7. Learn how to play safely.
  8. Experience wearing a U.S. Coast Guard- approved life jacket.

Class size 8 max.

Orients children to the aquatic environment and helps them gain basic aquatic skills.

  1. Enter and exit the water using ladder, steps, or side.
  2. Blow bubbles through mouth and nose.
  3. Open eyes underwater and retrieve submerged objects.
  4. Front and back glides and floats.
  5. Roll from front to back and back to front.
  6. Alternating arm and leg actions on front and back.
  7. Recover to vertical position.
  8. Combined, alternating, and simultaneous leg actions on front and back.

It is recommended that participants complete and successfully pass Level 1 or are approx. 7-8 years of age with no fear of the water. Class size 8 max.
Gives participants success with fundamental skills while progressing to guided practice in deeper water.

  1. Enter and exit water using ladder, steps, or side with emphasis on jumping in from the side.
  2. Fully submerge and hold breath.
  3. Open eyes underwater and retrieve submerged objects.
  4. Front, jellyfish, and tuck floats.
  5. Front and back glides and floats.
  6. Roll from front to back and back to front.
  7. Combined, alternating and simultaneous leg actions on front and back.

It is recommended that participants complete and successfully pass Level 2 and are able to swim the width of the pool with no assistance. Class size 8 max.

  1. Swim underwater.
  2. Tread water using arm and hand actions.
  3. Change direction of travel while swimming on front or back.
  4. Combined arm and leg actions on front and back.
  5. Finning arm action.
  6. Introduction to the development of the front crawl , back crawl and elementary backstroke.

It is recommended that participants complete and successfully pass Level 3 or are able to swim the width of the pool with no assistance. Class size 8 max.
Develops confidence in the skills learned and improves other aquatics skills with more advanced coordination and refinement of strokes as skills develop.

  1. Headfirst entries from the side in compact and stride positions.
  2. Swim underwater.
  3. Feet first surface dive.
  4. Survival swimming.
  5. Front crawl and backstroke open turns.
  6. Tread water using two different kicks.
  7. Front and back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, and butterfly.
  8. Flutter and dolphin kicks on back.

Cost

  • $40.00 per two week session, Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday
  • $40.00 per four day Saturday Session
  • $30.00 Session 6 will be short one day due to legal holiday (July 4th)

(Additional $2.00 non-resident fee applies)

Introduction to Swim Team

Introduction to Swim Team $80.00 per session plus a one-time $25.00 USA Swim Team Fee (good for one year).

Pool Rentals (Pool Parties)

Registration will open on May 1st. All rentals must be booked at least two weeks before the requested date.
